Description

Sarah won’t answer the phone anymore. She lost her unborn child. Lying next to the cradle, she is drifting … until she puts her finger in a glass of water and discovers that she can travel to some unknown underwater world. Even if no one but her believes in this strange gift, she decides to explore it.

biography of the director

Matthieu-David CournotMatthieu-David Cournot was born in France in 1977. After earning a master’s degree in international law, he decided to work in movies. He graduated from la FEMIS in the cinematography department and then worked on such films as Paris je t'aime and the upcoming J'veux pas que tu t'en ailles by Bernard Jeanjean. As a cinematographer he received an award for best cinematography at the 2005 Santiago International Short Film Festival for Un début d'automne and was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 for his work on Bir Damla Su. Voie d'eau marks his directorial debut.
